We are delighted, overwhelmed and proud to be connected with such a generous and supportive group of friends such as you. Our collective efforts to enhance the lives of people affected by life altering illness and loss have been very successful this year and throughout the years. We thank you for your commitment to this cause.

Through your contributions and the contributions of match donors we have raised just over $100,000 this year and almost $450,000 through the seven Bal de Neige events. This year's funds will go directly to Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House in Oakville and the Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children, this year’s Bal de Neige beneficiaries. It is amazing to see what a single idea coming from several 15 year old girls has become, and what good we can do together.

We are thankful to our guest speakers who shared their difficult yet inspiring stories. We heard from Chrissy, a grieving wife and mother of two young girls who had lost their father far too early. We learned about the connection to Lighthouse which has helped her to provide the support her girls needed while she was also trying to grieve and heal herself. We heard from Lorissa, the mother of a child stricken by kidney cancer who has utilized the wide variety of services at Wellspring for her child, her family and herself. With her child in remission for several years now, she has taken up the role of helping others through their journey, and will help them to navigate the pediatric programs and services the Bal de Neige has made possible at Wellspring.

Finally, we honour the spirit of you our friends, who enthusiastically support and embrace the Bal each year. We marvel at your ability to reinvent yourselves as hippies, cowfolk, the Hollywood elite, rockers and other alter egos. You come together for an evening where we celebrate life with good people, memorable music, empathy, tears and much laughter. We are inspired by this community who care enough to do more each time we ask for your help.
